Bootcamp 1.0 — from vision to action.
Proof before promises. RootsToRise Youth Empowerment Foundation fully funded and delivered its inaugural Bootcamp 1.0 as a direct investment in the potential of Nigerian youth — demonstrating our capacity to design, fund, coordinate and deliver practical youth skills programming.
We started with action, not appeals.
RootsToRise did not wait for external donors before starting. We believed the most credible way to earn trust and partnership was to prove our model first — so the Foundation invested its own resources to conceive, organise, coordinate and deliver Bootcamp 1.0. It now serves as the foundation of everything we are building next.
A clear, honest credit structure.
Every part of Bootcamp 1.0 was owned and financed by the Foundation, with valued institutional and industry participation.

In their own words.

A one-month online mentorship for our Bootcamp 1.0 graduates.
The journey does not end at graduation. Through October 2026, participants who completed Bootcamp 1.0 enter a month-long, fully online mentorship — guided to turn the skills they gained into real products of their own.
Structured mentorship
Over four weeks, graduates work closely with mentors online, guided from an idea to a finished product they can call their own.
Create your own product
Each participant applies the digital, design and AI skills gained in Bootcamp 1.0 to build and share a product of their own — putting learning into real practice.
The engagement challenge
Participants choose how they compete — individually or as a group. Whoever earns the most engagement on their content through the mentorship wins a cash prize.
From a proven first step to Bootcamp 2.0.
Bootcamp 1.0 proved what commitment can start. With the right partners, we can determine how many more young Nigerians we reach.
A demonstrated model
We now have a working programme we can refine, document and repeat — not just an idea on paper.
A growing ecosystem
Youth, institutional stakeholders and industry contributors came together around practical empowerment — a network we intend to grow.
Ready to scale
With strategic partners, funders and mentors, Bootcamp 2.0 can reach more young people across Nigeria.
This is the full cost to train one young person through Bootcamp 2.0 — facilitation, learning materials, participant welfare, reliable power and connectivity, an endorsed certificate and after program mentorship. Our goal is a cohort of 100 — and partnership decides how many seats we fill.
